Jaundice : A transformation in disguise

The 22nd of December has indeed been a memorable day in my life.Switching to a new profession never felt so good. Thus began the journey of Tech writing, a field less explored challenging yet promising.

I was mapped to work right from day 1 and I never felt bad about it.The team made me feel at ease and I got enough time to explore new ideas, new tools ,new concepts and the art of professional tech writing.

Six months passed marking an end to the probation period. A major release for a telecom giant gave me immense knowledge about the core concept of being a writer.

It was a smooth ride till now, until the bumpy road came by.A minor fever , some irregular food habits and a drug overdose took a toll on my liver.I was affected by Infective Hepatitis so called Jaundice.

Four days of vomiting ,nausea ,the yellow tinge on the eyes and the skin marked the beginning of a life threatening disease.

I had no idea about this ailment. The first thing that flashed in my mind was my friend's face.

Yes indeed my friend Reet Raj Sai ,from the first days of engineering.

Unlucky was he that the disease took a toll on him and he passed away at a mere age of 19.
With his face flashing in my memory, and recurring bouts of vomiting ,I returned home frightened ,hoping to get relief in my safe den.

Four weeks of restricted diet ,liver protection tonics ,repeated blood tests and regular doctor consultation marked the order of my day.It was the fourth week at home that the doctor gave me a green signal giving me hope that I could return to work and eat like a normal person.

After undergoing such miseries I lost my momentum I had been carrying so long.It was a major setback in my career ,but it dint deter my spirit.

It was during this difficult phase when I realized I was so loved ,that there was so much compassion for me in everyone's heart and that I was never alone in this world.

Who knows ! Maybe this marked the beginning of a transformation less thought of ...
